Stop #49: After last night’s episode with the rogue cabinet, I was DONE. It is time to go home. That was the final straw for me. We are already on the way home, but now it’s just a count down of miles until we are safely home.
Today was the worst traffic day I have encountered by far. Again, the universe telling me to sloooowww doooowwwnn, but adding to my desire to be home. We sat in traffic for several hours, so we arrived at the campsite relatively late. I had a couple of fleeting thoughts of driving straight through to home, but this traffic showed me that was not realistic or wise. I have a couple of friends from the Cincinnati area and Shannon had recommended a few campsites. I stayed at one she recommended and it was very nice. Nicer than many I have stayed at along the way.
We didn’t do a whole lot on this stop. Pretty much got dinner and went to bed. Exhausting to drive in traffic all day!
Sorry, Mikey…we didn’t make it to Skyline Chili but saw the sign!
Lesson of the Day: Don’t entertain crazy thoughts of driving straight through. The Universe will send unneeded traffic and detours.
