Stop #31: Sometimes when I visit cities I think I completely miss the “right” areas to see. That seemed to be the case when I visited Oklahoma City. There were some cute places, but the city itself seemed a little disjointed. The neighborhoods didn’t seem to flow from one to another. I drove most of the time instead of walking to explore the city because of this.
Luna and I went and explored the Myriad Botanical Gardens, which were beautiful. I did a pretty lousy job taking pictures, but you can see some of what we experienced. There was even a nice dog park there, but it was a little odd because it had astroturf instead of grass. Luna generally hates dog parks, and this one really confused her because what looked like grass was really more like a putting green. She wanted out pretty much as soon as we went in, but the rest of the gardens were much more interesting to her.

After the gardens we went and found a place to eat and happened upon a fancy hot dog place. It was pretty good. Unfortunately, I found that most of the city where we visited didn’t smell all that great so sitting outside wasn’t super enjoyable. I will attribute it to heat. The sunset was beautiful.

Off to Dallas tomorrow!
